ESXi6.7u3 - Installing vSphere Server

Post by admin »

Installing vSphere Server

Got he installer, after searching enough at VMware, as their site is mainly 'under constructions' already for months , if you believe me.

So we could (should) continue here:
https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphe ... 0A4FF.html

...

Need a VM with at least 2 vCPU's & 10GB of RAM ?
It's good I've made proposal for new hardware with 128GB DDR4 ;)

Continue if we have rebuild all our datastores to VMFS6.

Made a virtual Appliance Server with vCenter Server, running on an ESXi host, but it does not see it's own host?
A rather (too) big environment needed, 4CPU, 10GB RAM, 300GB disk within 20 partitions to run appliance & vCenter Server.
Not yet added the host to this server, as I am not sure if it can be un-done.

Probably only running for 60 or 90 days, due to no license.
Like ESXi7 without License?
For which I still need answers on my q's. Can get license for ESXi6, but not for ESXi7 site returns an error over months now.

We power this vCenter Server down for now, maybe need some pictures of it.

Re: ESXi6.7u3 - Installing vSphere Server and remove it!

As vSphere Server takes too much diskspace and HW resources decided not to use this anymore as we only have 1 ESXi machine.
It has not much extra to offer.
No new HW until now so we stay on ESXI6.7U3 and removed this (over 300GB disk within 20 partitions) dragon of a VM.
