FreeNAS Current usage

Post by admin »

At this moment 1 Virtual Machine is running freeNAS, a FreeBSD linux web-based NAS solution with lots of connection possibilities. iSCSI, NFS, rsync, SSH, etc etc.

Within ESXi you can connect usb drives to Virtual machines, in my case the VM is serving some CIFS and NFS for all other virtual machines. Mostly for backup purposes, as the VM's themselves run on fast RAID5 disks.

Ok, for further updates, =>9.x.x
You will need more then 1,5 MB.
I used 4MB for my 9.2.1 version to update to FreeNAS-9.2.1.5-RELEASE-x86 (80c1d35)
