'Where software meets hardware.' - DG.

Only still some issues changing Z-boot to U-boot.
Although i can get into UART mode, by shorting R17 on F1 board.

See how i get

Running on P-2812HNU-F1.
With TTL Serial cable attached and TFTP server standing by...
Pressing a key during boot ('Hit any key to stop autoboot:') and use ATGU command to get into VR9-prompt:

Yha, i know, this box still booting ZyXEL's: ZyU-F02-300-20AA003-V3.04|04/01|2011(TUJ)
Need to change that to a u-boot version...

One way to get the WEB GUI working again:

Code: Select all

root@DG-OpenWrt-F1:/# firstboot
This will erase all settings and remove any installed packages. Are you sure? [N/y]
y
/dev/mtdblock5 is mounted as /overlay, only erasing files
root@DG-OpenWrt-F1:/# reboot
root@DG-OpenWrt-F1:/# procd: - shutdown -
procd: - SIGTERM processes -
procd:
Next, checked all VLANs on "switch0" (Lantiq XRX200 Switch):

Within the next picture, all eth ports, from left to right are:

Code: Select all

Physical OpenWRT

LAN 1 Port 0
WAN Can not connect?
As can be seen in the log below, 'Port 3' is not used?
On all ports there is a link and a message, except for the WAN port ...

Re: OpenWRT, r43437, running on ZyXEL P-2812HNU-F1

Post by admin »

As i rewrote the NAND, from Z-Boot loader (ZyU-F02-300-20AA003-V3.04|04/01|2011(TUJ)) to U-Boot 2013.10-openwrt5 (Nov 18 2014 - 19:54:58) P-2812HNU-Fx. I did not manage to run the ZyXEL firmware anymore (on this device, yet).

But what i do see within U-Boot are 73 Bad Blocks (some are normal, between 4-20) ?
Nands (can) have some Bad Blocks, normally, but 73 is too much !
'nand bad' command on P-2812HNU-F1 returns 73 Bad Blocks :

to/from memory address 'addr', skipping bad blocks.

nand write.raw - addr off|partition [count]
Use read.raw/write.raw to avoid ECC and access the flash as-is.
nand erase[.spread] [clean] off size - erase 'size' bytes from offset 'off'
With '.spread', erase enough for given file size, otherwise,
    'size' includes skipped bad blocks.
nand erase.part [clean] partition - erase entire mtd partition'
nand erase.chip [clean] - erase entire chip'
nand bad - show bad blocks
nand dump[.oob] off - dump page
nand scrub [-y] off size | scrub.part partition | scrub.chip

And see the last ifconfig command for 'nas0'? Or is that DSL-WAN (which i wont use at all...?)

Looks no good for a not connected WAN port ... anyway openWRT GUI & code looks fine!

i'll check..
