Extreme long logoff / shutdown

When logging off, or shutdown a Windows machine, the status: Saving your settings, looks like to take ages.

Fixed with:

Only have no idea for how long you should use this program.
I guess all users have to run it ones, as it should be installed as administrator.
And i only had this issue for 1 user profile on my local machine, but did the trick as told.

Could this have solved my long reboot issues on VMware before?
Posted somewhere 2011 2012 ?
Don't even know if it is reproducable.
