This home PC is an HP Compaq
Running (still) Windows XP and should run Linux in weeks? Or multiboot.
See some issues that i faced lately on windows, like slow (or no) logout / signoff. (Fixed here)

Also not an interesting machine to look further into.
Needs to have its 1TB external disk inside, instead of internal DVD/RW (who still uses that floppy kinda device?)

To use this PC wireless, i bought (very cheap, €3 ) 2 x usb 150Mbps adapters:

There were no drivers delivered with them, so i searched internet and found driver MediaTek, level 5.1.17.0:

After contact the seller, he 1st provided a link that was not working, next a link with a lower driver Ralink, level, 5.1.11.0:

As i am running the lowest level @ this moment, after downgrading from 5.1.17.0
