After phpBB issues, the Zoneminder server needs a new 'RAW drive' mapping, but that's grayed out:

The Zoneminder camera data was saved on RAW Drive mapping to 1TB internally connected.
That physical hard drive is now in external USB case working fine!
The internal disk is replaced with a 4TB drive, which needs new 'RAW Drive Mapping'.

[EDIT} But the phpBB issues stay, about 'Submit' (only on a Reply, not on Edit post).

The kb.vmware.com/s/article/1017530 did not enable the grayed out option in the menu.
It just creates the RAW Drive mapping on CLI, after which you should be able to add it to a VM as physical disk.
This same procedure was done for the old 1TB internal disk, about 2 years ago and worked fine.
However when I now follow the same instructions to add the RDM, it has not selected any controller or the right size of the drive, just after adding the RDM:



I do see an error message between select the RDM and returning to this edit-screen. It's only 10ms so it's not readable.
Where to find that message? As we now can only cancel or remove the just added RDM to continue?

Why does this not work as it should be? Also not with additional SCSI or SATA adapters?
Why Does it returns 16GB as hard disk as the CLI says 3,6TB?
Why did it worked on older build, same ESXi 6.7u3 with a 1TB disk?

Not yet found out why this happens, the old RDM (1TB) worked fine on same SATA connection to Server.

Also on the (updated) VMware Remote Console it is not possible to add a RDM.
What do I say? It is even not possible to add an adapter on that edit functionality.

After checking last VIB's installed and logs etc.
I think the 32GB ESXi boot usb is at its end, as I see lots of messages regarding it.

Creating a new VM with own made SATA_RDM_2.vmdk showed the same controller, but the right disk size
If you press 'Next' the configuration looks auto-adjusted to 2 virtual disks, not with the full path to SATA_RDM_2.vmdk?
I pressed 'Back' to check and lucky enough it showed the right file & size again.
Now not click next, but 'Finish' and YES! RDM 4TB is on a VM, hooray!



Now we can see what was on that disk, it was 1 of my NAS RAID5 disks (my spare).



Why this 'trick' can not be done on existing VM's, I don't know. (Maybe due to RDM, no snapshots and vMotion can be used?)
They were almost all automatically updated to this version with Upgrade VM Compatibility.
Even tried it on my last created VM, did not work. That was a VM from before my last update.

PS: Where to find the last build (VIB's loaded) version on web interface, VMware? It'd gone now.

The IOMMU errors seen above do seems to point to vmbh32, the USB boot device for ESXi.

Before we make a new USB we have to backup our ESXi config, so we follow:

1st Attempt to create a new USB fails due to read or write errors on USB.
As we also are booting from USB, I don't know which is de culprit.
We both do the H2test on both the USB sticks.

No, the 32GB usb is NOT defective, it's a SCSI message that is every 5 minutes and is 'normal' behavior.

Made a 16GB version without any problems within 15 minutes. Just in case.

So: offside make another bootable usb for ESXi is impossible, without any datastore?
I do have 2 x same HW only 1 used as 'normal' PC the other does ESXi-server. Not yet found out how to add a second usb available on ESXi shell, when booted ESXi without DS.
